TVL Tournament (at Onaga) - Quarterfinals
Clifton-Clyde found their groove inside with Bradley Koch and rode the big man to a win over Valley Heights in the Quarterfinals of the TVL Tournament 67-42. Leading only 13-8 after the first quarter the Eagles pushed the lead to 11 by halftime going up 33-22 as Koch led the way with 12 points in the first half. Clifton-Clyde continued to grow the lead in the second half with a 19-9 third quarter and went on to shut the door for the win as Koch posted 24 points earning him Community National Bank "Player to Bank On" honors on 92.1 KMZA, while Zach Sorell finished with 11 points going 8-8 from the free throw line. The win moves the Eagles into the Semifinals and to 10-1 on the season.
The loss moves Valley Heights to 4-6 on the season and into the Consolation Semifinals. The Mustangs had nine different guys score but the highest individual output was just seven points coming from Cameron Beardsley.
