Sabetha beat rival Nemaha Valley for the third time this season to advance to state for the first time since winning it in 2004. The Bluejays never trailed as freshman Alexis McAfee hit to early trifecta's and scored 10 of Sabetha opening 12 points and the Jays led 14-4 after one quarter. NV got it to 34-30 with 3:40 to play in the game, but Sabetha answered with an 8-2 run capped by Leah Colgrove's three-pointer to make it 42-32. Ashley Annan had 18 for the (17-6) Bluejays while McAfee ended up with 13. Nemaha Valley ends their season 14-9 with Kaylee Bontrager scoring 11 for the Raiders in the loss.
