Class 1A-Division II Semifinal State Tournament --
Axtell continued their storybook season by again getting off to another fast start and stellar defense to cruise by White City in the semifinals. Eagles got off to a 15-2 lead after the 1st quarter and lead it 23-8 at the half to cruise to the victory as White City finished with 17 turnovers and 0-7 from 3pt land. Aaron Schmelzle again lead the way for Axtell posting 16 points, while Payton Heinen added 13 points and Derek Porting chipped in 11 points, while hitting three 3pters.
