Class 1A-Division II Championship State tournament --

Axtell started the game off fast like the first two state games but the unbeaten number one seed, Fowler came back to lead it 18-14 after the 1st quarter. Axtell then pushed out to a one point lead at the half and outscored Fowler by 8 in the second half to win their first ever state basketball championship. Aaron Schmelzle posted 26 points with Payton Heinen adding 23 points and 9 rebounds.
