Holton Wildcats started their season off with great defense and a power running game to dispatch DeSoto. Leading the way on the night was Brendan Hampton who on offense ran for 105 yards on just 10 carries and score twice (60 & 1 yard TD runs) and on defense had a 58-yard pick six for Holton. Drake Ewing ran the ball well for the Wildcats, also compiling 72 yards on the ground, including a 52-yard TD run.
