For the second time this season the Mustangs of Valley Heights ran the ball for 400+ yards and both times they won those games, this time beating TVL opponent the Onaga Buffalos. Onaga was plagued by four turnovers (3 fumbles & INT) and a blocked punt that led to short fields for Valley Heights and ultimately points.
Mustangs were speared head on offense by a trio of 100+yards rushers, freshman, Logan Woodyard lead the way with 130 yards on eight carries including an 87-yd TD run. Seniors, Cole Maddox and Derek Trimble added 100+ yard days; Maddox had eight carries for 102 yards and 3 TDs, Trimble had nine carries 104 yards and TD. Quarterback, Gage Woodyward added a three rushing scores in the game, plus scoring on a 98-yd fumble recovery scoop and score, for the first score of the game.
Onaga, registered points late in the game with a 90-yard kick return by Wyatt Cordell and an 10-yd TD run by David Koelzer. Michael Bliss led the Buffalos rushing attack with 14 carries for 118 yards.
