Valley Heights Mustangs opened the season with a tough win over Centralia using a 21-12 2nd quarter and 10-1 4th quarter to earn the home win. Mustangs were lead by Brandi Jo Roepke who scored 27 points, while Sidney Blackburn added 17 points and Lesley Frohberg chipped in 9 points.

Centralia in the loss was lead by Liz Hasenkamp who scored 14 points, while Kaitlyn Koch added 12 and Cassidy Haufler chipped in 10 points.
