Overtime
Nemaha Valley seemed to have things under control leading 27-18 at the half against Hiawatha but the Red Hawks fought back with an 8-2 run to start the second half and used a 14-4 3rd quarter to take the 33-31 lead after three periods. Teams traded buckets in the fourth quarter and tied late Nemaha Valley had the ball with an opportunity to win but turned it over with little over three seconds left. Hiawatha pushed the ball down the court and Courtney Brockhoff was fouled with 1.1 seconds left and headed to the free throw line for two shots but missed both and Emily Gartner's shot off the rebound fell short sending the game to overtime.
In overtime Nemaha Valley put together a 10-2 period and took home the win as Madison Koch led the Raiders on the night with 18 points and Hailey Nolte scored 10 points. Hiawatha was led by Gartner who scored 31 points, while Brockhoff chipped in 13 points.
