Axtell Eagles led 11-6 in the 1st quarter against Valley Heights but the Mustangs closed the quarter on a 4-0 run to pull within one. After that the Mustangs put together a 17-5 2nd quarter and 16-7 3rd quarter to take control of the game. Valley Heights was led by Sidney Blackburn who scored 23 points, while Brandi Jo Roepke scored 22 points. Kiertsen Talbot led Axtell with 11 points, while Courtney Heinen scored 9 points.
