1A-DII State Tournament (at Dodge City) Championship 

The game was tied at 28-28 at halftime but a 14-9 third quarter gave Digthon control again and ultimately behind 51.6% shooting and 29-38 free throw performance Digthon picked up the win over Axtell. The Eagles did shot 44% from the floor and got 23 points from Courtney Heinen and 20 points from Kiersten Talbot but only shot eight free throws (7-8) compared to 38 for Dighton. The State runner-up finish is the best in school history for Axtell.
