Former ACCHS Tiger, Shailey Caudle Helping Highland With Her Strong Spike

Former ACCHS Tiger spiker, Shailey Caudle has enjoyed a strong volleyball career at Highland Community College putting together a strong sophomore campaign this year.

The Highland lady Scotties recently wrapped up the regular season action with a 24-13 record and Caudle has been a key piece of the team’s success all year at her outside hitter position playing in all 37 matches. The sophomore ranks second on the team in kills with 406 and 3.05 kills per set this year, while racking up 301 digs to ranked third on the team in that category. Caudle has made impacts other ways to with 19 aces and 18 blocks on the year.

Throughout the season Caudle has been a model of consistency for the Scotties getting set up with regularity for kills and notching nine or more in 25 of the team’s 37 matches, while recording double digit kills in 18 matches including a career high 29 kills against Neosho County in a four set win. Defensively Shailey has recorded 11 matches with 10 or more digs on the season including an 18 dig match, while she recorded a career high 23 digs versus MCC-Longview her freshman season. Caudle has seven double-doubles on the season all with kills and digs, while now having 677 career kills in two seasons for the Scotties.

In high school Caudle was a key leader for ACCHS and led the team in kills in her senior year, while helping the team 23-14 and Sub-State runner-ups falling in a tough three set contest in the Championship. She earned All-Big Seven League volleyball honors multiple years in her high school career.

The Scotties are into the postseason with District Tournament play and Caudle will look to continue her solid play with the team as they look to continue their season when they play Fort Scott on Saturday in the District tournament at Coffeyville.
