Holton Takes Big 7 Golf Quad at Seneca

It was a beautiful day on Monday and Spring Creek golf course in Seneca was primed for high school golf action with four Big Seven League teams converging upon the course to face off in a league quad.

Once again it was the Holton Wildcats reigning victorious in another tournament this time getting the best of three of their fellow Big Seven League teams. Holton registered a 154 team score, 23 strokes better than second place. Wildcats used the top two individual performances of the day to capture the team crown at Spring Creek golf course. Tavin Dugan registered another first place individual performance with a stellar round of 32 on the day, while his teammate Kenton Tegethoff took home second with a 38.

The host's Nemaha Valley took home a second place finish on the day after compiling a team score of 167. Raiders were lead by a pair of top five finishes with Zach Bradley and Trent Olberding, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively after registering a 39 and 40 on the day.

Sabetha Bluejays finished right behind the Raiders in third place with a team score of 168, using a top five performance from Nolan Keim to tallying their score. Keim took home third place on the days action after shooting a 38.

Hiawatha rounded out the action at the quad finishing in fourth place as a team with a score of 195.

Most of the Big Seven League teams will now turn their attention to the League tournament coming up on May 8th in Holton.
