Frankfort Boys Win Home Meet, Girls Take Second Place

The Frankfort boys track and field team won their home meet last Thursday. The Washington County girls were victorious with the Frankfort girls getting second place.

In the boys meet, Washington County got runner-up, Centralia placed third, Marysville got fourth and Onaga finished fifth.

In the girls meet, Centralia placed third, Marysville got fourth and Onaga finished fifth.

Lane Loiseau won the 200m dash for Frankfort and placed second in the 100m dash, only behind his teammate Carter Olson. The duo also helped the Wildcats place first in the 4x100m relay.

Ty Smith was another key contributor to Frankfort’s first-place finish, getting first in the pole vault and second in the javelin throw.

Trent Hardin took the gold in the triple jump, placed third in the 100m dash, and placed fourth in the long jump.

Jett Keller got first place for Frankfort in the 300m hurdles and was the second leg in their first-place 4x400m relay team.

For Centralia, Kristopher Fulkerson gave the Panthers three first-place finishes as he won the 1600m run, and the 3200m run and was on the first-place 4x800m relay team.

Ben Haverkamp got another gold for Centralia in the javelin throw.

For the Wildcats’ girls team, Holland Shirley got first in the 3200m run and was on the 4x800m relay team that also got first place.

Tessa Parthemer competed in four events and placed in the top three in all of them. She got first in the high jump, second in the 300m hurdles and 100m hurdles, and third place in the long jump.

Hayden Kramer got first place for Centralia in the 100m dash and the 200m dash. Keelyn Rempe also got a pair of golds in the 800m run and the 1600m run. She also was on the 4x800m relay team that placed second.

Onaga had some winners as well with Emmarsyn Fordham getting first place in the shot put and the discus. Lillie Weiser got first place for the Buffaloes in the triple jump as well.
