Nebraska High School Golf Tournaments Wrap Up Wednesday

In golf, the Nebraska State Golf Tournament wrapped up Wednesday at locations around the state.

In Class B, at Jackrabbit Run in Grand Island, Auburn senior Trayven Blex finished with a two-day score of 182 with rounds of 90 and 92.  That tied him for 65th place overall.  Michael Hadden of Scottsbluff was the individual champion and Scottsbluff won the team title.

In Class C, at the Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Grant Badertscher of Johnson County Central followed his opening round 91 with a 94 on Wednesday for a two-day score of 185, tying for 69th place.  Sam Meuret of Plainview was the Class C individual medallist and Gibbon was the team champion.

In Class D, Brendan Johnsen of Medicine Valley was the individual champion and Thayer Central was the team champion.

Carson Schaake of Creighton Prep was the individual champion in Class A, winning a playoff against his teammate Benjamin Maschka.  Creighton Prep was the team champion in Class A.
