Track & Field Results from 4/23

It was another busy day for area track and field teams on Tuesday afternoon with Silver Lake, Washington County, and Royal Valley all hosting events. 

There were 10 teams total competing at Silver Lake. The Frankfort girls finished in third place behind West Franklin and Silver Lake. Jefferson County North finished in fourth place and Maur Hill-Mount Academy finished in fifth place. 

The Jefferson County North boys finished in third place behind Wellsville and Silver Lake. Frankfort finished in fourth place and was highlighted by the 4x100m relay team (Carter Olson, Brock Armstrong, Fred Hyde, and Lane Loiseau) who broke the school record with a time of 43.78. That recorded dated back to 2000. 

Washington County was hosting 11 teams total and a majority of them were from the Twin Valley League. The Clifton-Clyde girls won the event followed by Washington County, Hanover, Centralia and Axtell. The Axtell boys dominated with over 200 points and won the event followed by Valley Heights, Clifton-Clyde, Centralia, and Blue Valley-Randolph. 

Royal Valley was hosting a Big 7 league quad and it was the Holton boys and girls picking up first place finishes. The Holton girls were followed by Sabetha, Hiawatha, and Royal Valley. The Holton boys were followed by Sabetha, Royal Valley, and Hiawatha.
