ESPN/ABC and the Big Ten Conference announced on Friday that Nebraska’s Sept. 14 home game against UCLA will kick off at 11 a.m. CDT. The game will be televised on ABC.
Nebraska and UCLA will be meeting for the 12th time overall and the sixth time at Memorial Stadium. Nebraska leads the overall series between the two schools, 6-5, including a 4-1 edge in games played at Memorial Stadium. The last meeting between the two schools in Lincoln was in 1994, when No. 2 Nebraska defeated 13th-ranked UCLA 49-21. Last season, UCLA defeated Nebraska 36-30 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
With the announcement of the game time and television for the UCLA contest, Nebraska has learned game times for five of its eight home games in 2013. The Huskers will open the season on Aug. 31 with a 7 p.m. game against Wyoming on BTN. The following week, Nebraska will play host to Southern Miss with kickoff set for 5 p.m. CT on BTN. The Huskers’ Oct. 5 Homecoming contest against Illinois will start at 11 a.m. with television arrangements to be determined. The Huskers’ regular-season finale against Iowa on Friday, Nov. 29 will also kick off at 11 a.m. CT and will be televised by ABC.
Game times and television information for the remainder of Nebraska’s 2013 schedule will be determined six to 12 days in advance.
