On Saturday it was the last football game for many top seniors in the 8-man football level across the state of Kansas as they meet up in Beloit, KS to face off against each other in the 28th annual All-Star games at Trojan field.

Nine area athletes and one area coach particpated in the Division II adn I games on Saturday on the East squads.

The Division II game was highlighted by the Twin Valley League and the six players that played in the game from the league as they helped lead the East team to a 40-14 win over the West. East got the scoring going early and the second touchdown of the game gave the East a 12-0 lead with B&B Falcon, Dustin Deters registering a three-yard touchdown and finishing the game with nine carries for 10 yards and TD.

West cut into the lead after that scoring the next two touchdowns and converting on a pair of two-point conversions to take the 14-12. But the second half proved to be all East as the Hanover Wildcat tandem of Cody Neiman and Mark Zarybnicky came up with touchdown scores. Neiman caught a nine-yard touchdown pass before tossing a 23-yard TD to his fellow Wildcat Zarybnicky. Neiman tallied an impressive stat line as he was 1-1 passing for 23 yards and TD, carried the ball two times for 19 yards and caught three passes for 43 yards and a TD. Zarybnicky was the second leading receiver behind Neiman on the East with three catches for 29 yards and a TD and three carries for a yard.

Axtell Eagle, Aaron Schmelzle got in on the offense catching a 21 yard pass on his lone reception of the game. While, B&B Falcon, Curtis Stallbaumer anchored the line for the East and Blue Valley-Randolph Ram, Bobby O'Neill particpated, too.

In the Division I game it was all West team as they topped the East 54-8, with a running clock late in the ballgame. Clifton-Clyde Eagles, Alex Deaver and Blake Quillen were slated to play in the game for the East squad.
