Third edition of the weekly local sports talk show called "Pressbox Perspective" with Mike Smith posted weekly here on MSCSports.net every Thursday.

The weekly show breaks down all Northeast Kansas high school sports throughout the high school athletic year and will be 30 minutes to an hour in length each week. Mike keeps you up to date all the latest results in all the area high school sports, while also bring you interviews with area athletes, coaches from non-football and basketball sports and others.

Also look at how Northeast Kansas area athletes that have graduated and are playing at the college level are doing in their careers and possibly interview some of those athletes from time to time, also.

Third episode of "Pressbox Perspective" includes a look at all the falls sports in the Northeast Kansas area and a look at area athletes competing at the college level.

First up, Mike breakdowns down week one of the football action taking a look at the surprises and great performances. Take a look at the rankings after week one and preview week two matchups across the area.

After football, Mike breaks down the cross country season after a pair meets involving area teams and individuals and great performances by those teams and individuals. Mike also caught up with Sabetha cross country coach, Christa Schuette and talked about last year’s great performances, the start to this year and the tough competition in the Big Seven League.

Cruising along continuing to talk falls sports, Mike talked about the volleyball season thus far looking at the latest KVA rankings and breaking down the league standings early on in the season.

Mike wrapped up the high school sports talk this week on "Pressbox Prespective" catching up with Holton girls golf coach, Dennis Tegethoff, talking about the great start to the season and how he thinks his team will develop this season.

Mike wrapped up the show by taking look at Highland CC sports and other athletes from the area that are performing well in college athletics.
