Sabetha Continues Strong Performances on Tennis Courts By the Winning Immaculata Invite

The strong performances continued for the lady Bluejays of Sabetha as they soared to another competition team victory taking home first at the Immaculata Invitational on Tuesday (September 17th), competing with four other teams.

For the Bluejays it was a perfect 8-0 day in doubles competition on the day with senior tandem, Amy Wysong and Ellie Montgomery leading the way with a perfect 4-0 day in doubles competition number one, as they continued their momentum from a 10-0 week last week that earned them girls "Athlete of the Week" honors on MSCSports.net. The doubles team Jordyn Wells and Courtney Plattner continued a strong season, also as they took home first place in doubles competition number two with a 4-0 record.

In singles competition it was Lexi Wenger, highlighting things for the lady Bluejays as she took down the competition in singles number two competition to finish the day 4-0 and take home the third individual first place performance for the Bluejays.

The host Immaculata Raiders the lone other area team competing in the competition registered one medalists on the day as Liz Lee took home third place in the singles competition number two behind a 2-2 record on the day.

For Sabetha they look to continue to their strong showing thus far this season as they set up to compete in the Hiawatha Quad coming up next Tuesday, September 23rd. For Immaculata they gear up for action this coming Saturday, September 21st as they will travel to Mill Valley for an Invitational, looking to continue to show improvement on the season.
