Latest HS Football Rankings Kansas
By Justin Fluke

There is little to no change to the Kansas High School Football Rankings after four weeks of the 2012 season.  Holton, B&B, Frankfort and Centralia-Wetmore continue to highlight Northeast Kansas teams.

Holton reaffirmed their #1 spot in Class 4A by whipping previously unbeaten Hiawatha 61-14 on the road last week.   The Wildcats have now outscored their first four opponents 223-36.  (56-4 Average)

B&B remains #1 in 8-Man Division II and has outscored their first four foes 183-30 while having two games stopped by mercy rule and handing Madison and Pretty Prairie their only defeats.  The Facons play their first Twin Valley League and district game this week against Axtell.  After a bye week, Frankfort is still #3 in 8-Man Divison II and starts district play this week at Blue Valley Randolph.

Staying in the TVL, the defending state champion Centralia-Wetmore Panthers are #2 in Class 2-1A Rankings and have pitched shutouts the last three weeks.  The Panthers look to finish off their 14th straight league title this week and stay undefeated against Valley Heights.

The only other Northeast Kansas area teams that are undefeated meet in a big Delaware Valley League battle this week as Riverside and ACCHS put 4-0 records on the line in Effingham.  Both are receiving votes in Class 3A just outside the top five.

Other area teams that have just one loss and are mentioned as others include McLouth, who suffered their first loss of the year by one-point at Olpe last week; plus Hanover and Clifton Clyde.

Hiawatha and Nemaha Valley, who play in Seneca this week live on KMZA 92.1 FM.  Jefferson County North is also 3-1 at starts district play with a key DVL battle against Immaculata live on KAIR 93.7 FM.  Jackson Heights is 3-1 and tries to win their fourth straight contests starting district play at Troy live on KNZA 103.9 FM.
