Winning was something former B&B Falcon star, Cody Heiman grew accustom to in high school and that hasn't changed since he's been in college and now contributing in big ways for the #15 Washburn Ichabods who improved to 5-0 this weekend after a 44-21 win over Southwest Baptist.

Heiman who had been playing linebacker all season for the Ichabods, moved to the offensive side of the ball at runningback and with only three days of practice on offense sparked the Ichabods early in the win over Southwest Baptist. The former B&B Falcon, got Washburn on the board early scoring the first two Ichabod touchdowns of the day via the ground attack giving Washburn a 14-0 lead. Heiman did just stop with a couple of TD runs he added 136 yards on 26 carries in the game, averaging over five yards per carry in his first game at runningback for Washburn.

Just the one game at runningback for Cody has propelled him up to third on the team in rushing only 36 yards behind the two guys leading the Ichabods in rushing on the season. On the defensive side of the ball in the first four games of the season Heiman totaled 11 tackles on the season.

Heiman will look to be a key part of the Ichabods success this season when they take on Lincoln University on Saturday, October 12th at Yager stadium in Topeka at 2:00pm.
