Peru State QB Wins Second HAAC Player of Week Honor

 After an excellent second-half performance against Avila University on Saturday, Peru State's Tyler Audsley earned his second Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Offensive Player of the Week honor on Monday.

The sophomore quarterback from Prescott Valley, Ariz., joins Denzel Billy of Evangel University who earned HAAC's Defensive POW and Clarence Clark of Baker University who earned the Special Teams POW for this past week.

In the win over the Eagles, Audsley completed 14 of 23 passes for 147 and one touchdown. On the ground, Audusley rushed 18 times for 130 yards and two rushing touchdowns in the 24-7 win. Audsley accounted for 277 of Peru State's 357 yards of total offense. His long touchdown run of 61 yards helped spark the Bobcat offense.

After five games, Audsley is averaging 103.6 yards per game rushing and 118.8 yards per game passing for a total offensive output of 222.4 yards per game.

Currently, in HAAC stats, first in scoring per game/touchdowns (13.2), first in total scoring/touchdowns (66), Audsley is third is rushing yards per game (103.6), third in total yards rushing (518), fourth in pass efficiency (127.8), fifth in total offense per game (222.4), fifth in total offense (1,112 yards), eighth in total passing (594), ninth in passing per game (118.8), ninth in total all-purpose yards (518), and tenth in all-purpose yards per game (103.6).

Nationally, Audsley is fifth in both total scoring and total scoring/touchdowns, eighth in scoring/touchdowns per game and scoring per game, 23rd in rushing yards per game, 24th in total rushing, 28th in total offense yards per game, 29th in total offense, and 35th in pass efficiency.

Audsley and his Bobcat teammates will be on the road on Saturday as they travel to Olathe, Kan., to take on the MidAmerica University Pioneers at 2 p.m.
