#4 Benedictine Continues Perfect Season

The No. 4-ranked Raven football team scored two touchdowns inside the first three minutes of the game on Saturday en route to 31 unanswered points and a 48-13 win over Central Methodist University on Senior Day.

Benedictine (9-0, 7-0 HAAC) scored 21 points in the first quarter, followed by 17 points in the second quarter to take a commanding lead over CMU (4-5, 3-4 HAAC). 

Quarterback Bill Noonan found Christian Haack  on the second offensive play of the day for a 46-yard touchdown pass just minutes into the game.

Running back Kevon McGrew scored a three-yard rushing touchdown for Benedictine's second touchdown of the day on the Ravens longest drive of the day and then running back Cameron Fore added a three-yard rushing touchdown to push Benedicitne's lead to three touchdowns with four minutes remaining in the first quarter.

The Raven defense forced three Eagle turnovers on Saturday, which led directly to points on offense.

Benedictine accounted for 494 yards offensive – 309 yards through the air and 185 yards rushing.

Nine different Ravens rushed the ball, led by Fore's 95 yards. Eight different Ravens recorded a reception, led by the 113 yards of Haack off five receptions.

Defensively, linebacker Abdullah Sabir led the way with nine tackles. Linebacker Ray Gragg recorded two tackles for a loss as Benedictine tallied six tackles for a loss. Linebacker Alex Hibler forced a fumble and blocked a field goal while linebackers Josh Montgomery  and Cameron Humphrey recovered Benedictine's two fumbles.

The Ravens hit the road for their final two games of the regular season. First up, a trip to Marshall, Mo., on Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. game against No. 12 Missouri Valley College. The Vikings are coming off an upset of No. 9 Peru State College 21-14.  The broadcast on KAIR 93.7 will begin with the Pre-Game Show at 1:00 leading up to the 1:30 Kickoff.

Heading into the final two weeks of the season, the Ravens sit alone on top of the HAAC standings at 7-0. Missouri Valley and Baker University are both 6-1 while the loss by Peru State moves them to 5-2.
