Bree Brandt

 Peru State athletic director Steve Schneider has announced has that volleyball player Bre Brandt, from  Papillion, and football player Ethan Bray Liberal, Missouri, were selected as the Bobcat Athletes of the month for October.

Brandt is being recognized for October after having been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Hitter of the Week on October 7. She led the Bobcats to two wins on the road over the previous weekend as Peru State swept Stephens College in non-conference play and then gained a big win over Central Methodist University in HAAC action.

On October 21, Bray was named the HAAC's Offensive Player of the Week after his outstanding performance against Culver-Stockton College. Bray rushed for 252 yards on 40 attempts with his 252 yards tying a 23-year-old single-game rushing record set by Scott Gerdes in 1990.

Schneider was pleased with the selections and stated, "Bre and Ethan are deserving of being named as the October Athletes of the Month. Both are first-year starters for their respective teams and have been very important to each of their team's successes this season."
