B&B Falcons and Centralia Panthers squared off on the basketball court for one last time and the Falcons earned the sweep at home over the Panthers in pair tight contests. Lady Falcons survived a second half surge by Centralia to win 48-35, while the B&B boys needed overtime to grab the win over Centralia 66-61.

The night started with girl’s matchup and the B&B lady Falcons took the early lead 14-9 after the first quarter and the Centralia offense struggled in the second quarter as the Falcons pushed their lead to 25-13 at the half with a 11-4 frame.

Panthers came out the half as the final seconds were expiring off the clock for halftime and didn't warm up for the second half but Centralia was plenty warm from the floor in the third quarter posting a 20-7 frame to lead 33-32 after three quarters. Centralia established the post early in the third and saw Liz Hasenkamp hit a pair of three's in the quarter, too.

Down one going into the final period B&B answered with a 16-2 punch in the mouth to Centralia and grab the game back and ultimately the 48-35 win.

Lady Falcons were led by Community National Bank "Player to Bank On" senior, Laura Sudbeck who posted 17 points, including a pair of three-pointers in the fourth quarter and grabbed 10 rebounds, too. Senior, Ashley Kramer added 11 points going 5-6 from the free throw line, while Cassidy Hulsing scored nine points, helping B&B improve to 12-2 on the season.

Centralia with the loss falls to 7-6 on the season as junior, Amaris Jones paced the Panthers with nine points and freshman, Cassidy Haufler chipped eight points and 10 rebounds.

In the boys competition the B&B Falcons flew out of the gate as Centralia lead 2-0, but the Falcons surged with a 15-0 run in the first quarter and lead 17-8 at the end of the frame behind junior, Trent Schulte hitting three of his five three's in the quarter.

Centralia cut the lead to six headed into the half as B&B held a 29-23 lead and the Panther boys just like the girls used a solid third quarter to get back in the game and gain a lead. Panthers outscored B&B 16-7 in the third and lead 39-36 going into the fourth quarter.

Down to the final seconds of the game, tied at 51-51 after some Centralia free throws, the Falcons had the ball with what looked like would be the finally opportunity of regulation. B&B inbounded the ball and after some time went off the clock Centralia forced the turnover and had 2.5 seconds left on the clock to try and win the game. Out of the timeout the Panthers miss fired on a three-pointer and the buzzer sounded to send the game into overtime.

As overtime started B&B Falcon senior, Dustin Rottinghaus took over in the early portion of the period with two big three-pointers and two-point bucket for an 8-0 run to start the period for B&B. Centralia answered back with a punch but the Falcons used the energizing run by Rottinghaus to shot them to the 66-61 overtime win.

Rottinghaus finished the game with 21 points, scoring 11 points in the overtime period to earn Community National Bank "Player to Bank On" honors on KMZA. Schulte joined Dustin in double figures with his best game this year scoring 19 points, while hitting five three-pointers and senior, Dylan Schmitz chipped in a new season high with 16 points.
