It was a Tuesday night that featured dominating second half performances as the Doniphan West girls and Troy boys each won for a second time against their county rival this season.

GIRLS = Doniphan West 39, Troy 18
Both teams exchanged five points to start the game and Troy took a brief 12-11 advantage early in the second quarter.  Yet, D-West responded with a 10-0 run and never looked back.  Troy was held to only three total points in the second half before falling for the sixth straight game and ending the regular season 7-13 overall and 4-8 in their first Twin Valley League campaign.  Josie and Breanna Smith each scored 6 points for Troy in defeat.  Doniphan West was led by Payton Leach with 15 points while Regan Gibson added 11 and the Lady Mustangs hit 8 of 11 foul-shots while improving to 10-9 overall and 5-8 in the TVL.

BOYS = Troy 51, Doniphan West 33
Troy led 28-18 at halftime, before Doniphan West went on a 12-3 run to make it 31-30 with about three minutes left in the third quarter.  The Mustangs were sparked by three-pointers from Austin Taylor and Jeffrey Watts, but then went cold for the rest of the game as Troy ended the contest on a 20-3 run to pull away for the 18 point win and season sweep of county rivals.  Watts had 15, while Taylor and Cooper Leach added 7 apiece in the Mustangs tenth loss in a row, now  4-15 overall and 3-10 in the TVL.  Troy got a boost from Trevor Bembrick who scored 11 off the bench while Tristan Speer added 9 against his former team adn Jake Ross and Collin Jasper each chipped in 8.  Troy is now 12-9 after their third consecutive victory and finishes TVL play with a 7-6 mark heading into sub-state.
