Falcons opened the State tournament topping Fowler 59-44, with Holthaus scoring 16 points, Rottinghuas adding 15 points and Blake Deters scoring 11 points, while the team was 20-25 from the free throw line. In the semifinals the Falcons ran into a hot shooting Wallace County team and were unable to overcome a 20-point hole, falling 69-46.

In the school’s 17th appearance at the State tournament the B&B Falcons flew out with a win capping off a 19-8 season taking home third place at State. B&B boys with their third place and the State titles by the football, volleyball and girls basketball teams won State titles, giving the Falcons a feat that has not been topped by any school in Kansas history in those four sports in a single year. Falcons added to the historic athletic history of the B&B school and that will be forever remembered.
