Ravens Win on Stars and Stripes Weekend
By Tom Kautz

The No. 12-ranked Benedictine College football team was held to a season-low 21 points on offense Saturday at O'Malley Field on the Benedictine campus but in the end it was enough.

Benedictine (4-1, 3-1 HAAC) rebounded from its first loss of the season last week with a 21-14 win over Central Methodist University (2-4, 2-3 HAAC).

CMU outgained Benedictine offensive with primarily from the ground, but the Ravens were able to capitalize on their limited offensive possesions.

While Benedictine finished with 261 total yards to CMU's 345, the Raven defense came up with an interception late in the game by safety Ashton Stephens to seal the win.

Benedictine returns to the road next Saturday with a trip to NAIA No. 3 Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo.
