Sabetha Boys Golf Wins Rossville Invitational

Sabetha Bluejays boys golf team took flight again this season on Tuesday and competed in the Rossville Invitational against five other teams and came home with the top team performance of the day.

Bluejays flew to the win with a 4-Man team score of 339, just one-stroke better than Silver Lake who took second with a 340. Fellow Big Seven team Perry Lecompton rounded out the top three team performances taking third with a team score of 344. Osage City, Rossville and St. Mary's finished off the team results finishing fourth, fifth and sixth with team scores of 357, 360 and 398.

Tyler Ulrich paced the Bluejays on the day posting the second best individual round on the day tallying a 79 on the scorecard just three-strokes off of first place which was earned by a golfer from Silver Lake. Derek Halls and Kevan Herbster both notched top 10 performances on the day placing ninth and tenth, respectively with rounds of 86 and 87. While Reese Lierz finished just outside the top 10, taking eleventh with a round of 87 and was the final score in the Bluejays team score. Gaven Schumann and Connor Epple also competed for the Bluejays posting rounds of 93 and 98, respectively.
