Sacred Heart Coach Goltz Tabbed As Head Coach of Shrine Bowl

(KZA)-- Falls City Sacred Heart Football Coach Doug Goltz has been selected to be the Head Coach for the South Squad during the 57th Annual Shrine Bowl of Nebraska Football Game next June in Kearney. 

Goltz is in his 28th season as Head Coach of the Irish football team.  Goltz has led the Irish to seven state titles and his teams have compiled 15 undefeated regular seasons.  The Irish have been in the playoffs each year Goltz has been at the helm, which is an ongoing state record.

Joining Goltz in coaching the South Squad will be Table Rock native Ryan Gottula, the Head Coach at Lincoln Southeast.  Jim Jacobsen from Norris, Phil Truax from Dundy County Stratton,  Lynn Jurgens from Wilber-Clatonia and Matt Farup from Lincoln Christian. 

The North Squad will be led by Larry Martin of Omaha North.
