Holton Wrestlers Takes Seventh at Baldwin Invite

Plenty of great wrestling at the 2015 Baldwin Invitational on Saturday and the Holton Wildcats highlighted the action for the area placing seventh as a team out of 17 teams competing; Royal Valley also competed at the competition.
 
Holton posted 126 total points to garner seventh place, just two points shy of finishing in the top five team performances; Abilene took first place with 215.5 total points. Royal Valley finished 17th as a team with just 28 points on the day.
 
Seven Wildcat grapplers picked up top eight finishes at the Baldwin Invitational with Justin Rieschick (145lbs) and Lucas Lovvorn (160lbs) both leading the performances with individual championships on the day. It was a 4-0 day for Rieschick picking up two pinfall wins (1:29 and 3:14) and a 10-4 decision win that pushed him into the Championship bout were he won by a 2-1 decision. Lovvorn continued his strong season on the mats with a 4-0 mark, winning by pinfall twice (1:13 and 1:19) and by injury to make the Championship bout were he won by a 3-0 decision.
 
Both Justin Pool (132lbs) and Mason Baum (170lbs) each picked up fourth place finishes after going 3-2 on the mats, while Tyler Price (138lbs) brought home a sixth place finish, Jameson Lutz (126lbs) placed seventh and Trey Haverkamp (152lbs) finished eighth.
 

A pair of Royal Valley grapplers notched Top eight finishes as Noah Hart (145lbs) and Jacob Box (195lbs) finished fourth and fifth after both posting 3-2 records at the Baldwin Invitational.
