Third time was the charm for the Jeff West lady Tigers as they faced off against Holton for the third time this year with the Sub-State title up for grabs in 4A-Division II and earned the win after being swept by Holton in the regular season. The Tigers got off to a fast start and earned the win 35-26.

In the battle of the cats it was Jeff West pouncing early on Holton leading 17-6 after the first quarter lead 28-17 at halftime. The second half the scoring was not much as Holton outscored Jeff West 9-7 but the early Tiger lead propelled Jeff West past Holton and to the 4A-DII State tournament.

Holton wrapped up their season with a 13-9 record with the loss as Shay Tanking lead the Wildcats with nine points in the loss.

Jeff West used a balanced offense with six gals scoring as Taylor Metzger led the way with nine points, while Olivia Brees and Faith Becker each posted seven points apiece. The win improve Jeff West to 11-11 on the season and head to the 4A-Division II State tournament next week at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas and will play Thursday for their opening round game.
