Linn Girls & Frankfort Boys Win Four TVL Team Frankfort Track Invite

Full 2015 Frankfort Track Invite (4-17-15) - Team Results & Individual Results

Four Twin Valley League teams squared off in track action on Friday as Frankfort hosted Doniphan West, Linn and Blue Valley-Randolph for track and field action.

In the girls competition the Linn Bulldogs earned the team win with 80 points, finishing 10 points ahead of Frankfort, while Doniphan West took third and Blue Valley finished fourth. The host Frankfort Wildcats took the crown in the boy’s competition tallying 136 points for first place, while Doniphan West took second and Linn and Blue Valley placed third and fourth, respectively.

Frankfort led the way on the day with 12 first place finishes between the girls and boys at their home meet. Leading the way for the Wildcat boys was the performances on the track as the Wildcats swept the relays winning the 4x100 (46.38), 4x400 (4:08.47) and 4x800 (10:48.19) meter relays, while Jacob Studer posted a time of 46.29 to win the 300 meter hurdles and Rylen Bailey paced his way to the win in the 3200 meter run with a time of 12:45. Jase Suther and Brody Roberts both also picked up wins as Suther leapt his way to the high jump (5'06) win and Roberts vaulted his way ot the pole vault (10'06) win. For the lady Wildcats, Marie Wessel won two events, tossing her way to the win in the shot put (32'00) and discus (100'00.75), while Abra Shirley and Kaci Vaughn each won a field event also. Shirley picked up the gold in the triple jump (30'00) and Vaughn tossed her way to the win in the javelin (105'11).The lady Wildcats also won the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 13:26.

The Linn Bulldogs went home with 10 first place performances including three gold medals for Brooke Diederich, herself as she won both the 100 and 200 meter dashes behind times of 13.63 and 27.76, while also leaping to a win in the long jump with a leap of 16'01. On the track the Linn girls won the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays with times of 53.82 and 4:42.84, while Kaylie Rahe took first in the 300 meter hurdles (51.86). Shelby Ohlde also grabbed gold for the lady Bulldogs by winning the high jump with a leap of 5'00. In the boy’s competition, Grant Cook picked up two first place finishes winning both the discus (132'00.50) and javelin (160'10), while Micah Dieckmann won the shot put (43'04.50).

Eight first place performances were garnered by Doniphan West Mustang athletes at the Frankfort Invite with Tynan Bollinger and Lane Spiker leading the charge each winning a pair of events. Bollinger leapt his way to wins in the long jump (17'07.50) and triple jump (38'03), while Spiker sprinted to wins in the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 11.91 and 57.21. Kody Collins and Calvin Simmons also won events in the boy’s action, winning the 110 meter hurdles (16.49) and 400 meter dash (57.21), respectively. For the lady Mustangs, Kenzie Boos and Calli Caudle each brought home a gold winning the 3200 meter run and 400 meter dash with times of 14:32.56 and 1:09.47.

For the Blue Valley Rams three athletes earned two golds each on the day as Katie Huston, Georgia Hatesohl and Chase Carey each won two events. Both Huston and Carey paced their way to wins in the 800 and 1600 meter runs, as Hutson posted times of 2:49.83 and 6:15.68, while Carey notched times of 2:11.84 and 4:47.07. Hatesohl picked up wins in both the 100 meter hurdles (16.84) and the pole vault (8'00) for the Rams.
