The Onaga Buffaloes got the cross country season competing against several non-area teams at the Mission Valley Invitational on Thursday and were led by two Top 10 performers on the day. 

Lady Buffalo, Maggie Revell paced the Onaga cross country performances on Thursday at the Mission Valley Invitational as she ran to a time of 26:04.62 to place ninth overall of 40 competitors. Joining her in competition for Onaga in the girl’s race was Belinda Ames and she notched a 25th place performance. 

For the Onaga boys they field a team and placed ninth of the ten teams competing at the Mission Valley Invitational. Michael Eisenbarth put together a strong start to the cross country season as he ran to the time of 19:27.02 placing fifth out of 83 runners. Four other runners competed for the Onaga boys with two of the four finishing in the Top 30, as Luke Marten placed 23rd and Jackson Glessner finished 29th. Blake Wesley and Ian Heit finished off the Onaga runner performances placing 73rd and 79th, respectively. 

Onaga will continue their cross country season next Thursday, September 10th when they travel to Washington for the Washington County Invitational.
