Twin Valley League Schools Compete at Riley County Cross Country Invite

Six Twin Valley League schools were represented on Saturday at the Riley County cross country Invitational and put together several top flight performances on the day. 

Frankfort Wildcat sophomore, Broderic Shirley continued to perform strong winning yet another meet this season this time posting a time of 17:33.03, winning by just over three seconds. Colton Parthemer also picked up another Top 20 finish as he notched a 17th place finish for the Wildcats and the boys as a team finished fifth out of 12 schools fielding teams on the day. 

Valley Heights Mustang, Adrian Pishny registered a time of 17:43.55 to pick up a third place finish, while Alex Hardin took 24th in the boys competition. Ilexus Rose had the best lady Mustang performance finishing 26th. 

Burke Deters continued to lead Axtell cross country again as he finished fourth on the day after running to a time of 17:43.77, just a step behind Pishny for third place. Oliver Schmitz had the second best Eagles performance finishing 29th on the day. 

Centralia Panthers were led by junior, Sadie Jones who posted a time of 22:13.75 to finish ninth place in the girls competiion, picking up the best area performance in the girls race and only area runner to finish in the Top 20 in the girls action. Madison Boeckman finished 25th for the lady Panthers, while Dylan Boeckman was in the Top 20 placing 12th at the Riley County Invitational. 

Washington County on the day was led by a 25th place finish by Eric Miller, while Kyujung Lee had the best lady Tiger showing finishing 33rd. 

Clifton-Clyde also competed on the day and was led by a 48th place finish by Abby Sikes in the girl's competition.
