Hiawatha & Pleasant Ridge Lead Area Performances at 3A State Cross Country

2015 Class 3A State Cross Country results - boys results & girls results 

Rim Rock in Lawrence was the scene of the Class 3A State cross country meet on Saturday and multiple area runners showcased great performances to cap off their seasons. 

A second place finish in the boy’s race by sophomore, Luke Oatney with a time of 17:19.6 leading the Pleasant Ridge boys to a fifth place team performance. Finishing out the Rams boys team score was Gabe Younger, Ronny Jared, Noah Tatterhsall and Clayton Price finishing 39th, 44th, 62nd and 63rd, respectively. Dalton Flack and Reid Herken also ran for the Pleasant Ridge boys finishing 77th and 78th. The Ram girls took 11th as a team as Bridget Howard finished 62nd, Sara Nooner 70th, Grace Dedeke 79th, Kaylie Warden 86th, Taylor Satre 87th, Grace Wagner 88th and Peyton Gould 103rd. 

The Hiawatha Red Hawk girls raced their way to a second place team performance, finishing eight points behind Southeast of Saline who took first place. Freshman, Elizabeth Kettler paced the lady Red Hawks as she posted a time of 20:53.8 to earn a fifth place finish. Aly Shamburg notched a 24th place finish for the lady Red Hawks, while Emma Williams took 33rd, Mary Rosa 38th, Kailey Davis 44th, Jada Rosa 64th and Molly Kettler 73rd. Brandt Houk was the lone Hiawatha boys runner at State and he finished 49th. 

Maur Hill-Mount Academy Raven senior, Jack Siebert capped off his high school cross country career with an eight place finish after posting a time of 17:42.4. In the girls race Grace Siebert finished 57th for the Ravens at the 3A State cross country meet. 

ACCHS Tiger senior, Beba Scholz raced to a time of 21:18.7 to earn 18th place leading the lady Tigers team who finished ninth as a team. Mackenzie Forbes raced to finish 42nd for the Tigers, while Madison Bissel finished 67th, Maddison Forbes 72nd, Erin Hamilton 89th, Caitlin Fuller 98th and Malia Hawk 105th. 

Cole Hinton and Triston Hinton of Riverside notched 26th and 30th place finishes in the 3A boys State cross country race. Braeden Pfau of Oskaloosa finished 53rd in the boys race.

 

Keegan Cox of Sabetha took 34th in the boys competition, while in the girls race Taryn Schuette finished 29th and Megan Meyer posted a 46th finish.
