Big Seven League All-League Volleyball Honors Announced

With the volleyball season in the rear view mirror the postseason honors have started to be handed out and in the Big Seven League All-League honors have been handed out to standout performers this season. 

The Nemaha Central Thunder claimed the League title this year going 15-1 in Big Seven action and finishing 26-11 on the season. Three Thunder gals earned All-League honors with seniors, Rachael Baumgartner and Jenna Macke earning first team honors and sophomore, Laura Macke got the nod for honorable mention. 

Holton Wildcats finished second in the League this year going 13-3 in the Big Seven action, while posting a 24-13 record overall, finishing as Sub-State runner-ups in 4A-DII. A pair of lady Wildcats earned first team All-League honors as seniors, Megan Rhule and Hayley Thompson got the nod, while junior, Lauren Leavendusky earned honorable mention. 

Third place in the Big Seven League went to Jeff West as the Tigers finished 12-4 in League play and posted a 20-16 record overall on the year. Senior, Bailey Harvey and junior, Kaileigh Wright both were named to the first team All-League honors for the Tigers, while junior, KayCee Mundhenke and sophomore, Mariah Murdie both earned honorable mention honors. 

The Sabetha Bluejays notched a 28-14 record and 3A Sub-State runner-up finish this season, while taking fourth in the Big Seven with an 11-5 League mark. Bluejay senior, Alexis McAfee and junior, Emily Meyer both earned first team All-League honors, while senior, Kalli Broxterman got the nod for honorable mention honors. 

Royal Valley Panthers finished 8-8 in Big Seven play and 18-20 overall taking fifth in the League. A pair of Panther seniors earned first team All-League honors this year with Anna Anderson and Kate Hanson getting the honors, while fellow senior, Macy Putnam picked up honorable mention honors. 

Sixth place in the League went to Perry Lecompton as they finished 6-10 in the League, while going 21-19 overall. Two Kaw seniors picked up first team All-League honors as Sara Boyden and Sam Mallonee each picked up the honors, while senior, Joelle Sciffelbein grabbed honorable mention honors. 

ACCHS Tigers finished the year 10-23 and 4-12 in the Big Seven and senior, Mallory Eckert helped led the Tigers this year and she earned first team All-League honors for ACCHS. 

The Hiawatha Red Hawks finished the season 3-13 in the Big Seven and 8-23 overall and junior, Delaney Koerperich was a key player for the Red Hawks and earned first team All-League honors. 

The Riverside Cyclones posted just a 2-30 record and 0-16 in the Big Seven but had a pair of gals earn honorable mention All-League for their strong performances this season as juniors, Rayme Butts and Kaitlyn Schmille earned the honors for the Cyclones.
