Several area teams hit the mats for one final time in 2015 last Saturday as Pleasant Ridge hosted wrestling action. 

The Royal Valley Panther grapplers claimed first place as a team at the Pleasant Ridge Invitational as they were led by four individual first place finishes. The quartet of Lance Bailey, Noah Hart, Jacob Box and Brian Shane all picked up first place grabbing the gold at the weight classes of 126lbs, 152lbs, 182lbs and 220lbs, respectively for the Panthers. Several other top notch performances were garnered by Royal Valley wrestlers with five second place and four third finishes for the Panthers. Dalton Ware (106lbs), Garrett Pruyser (113lbs), Brent House (132lbs) , Caleb Burnworth (138lbs) and Blake Garrison (195lbs) all finished second for Royal Valley, while Ethan Ashley (120lbs), Zack Lux (145lbs), Marshall Stewart (170lbs) and Kessis Potts (285lbs) each picked up third place performances. 

The host Pleasant Ridge Rams had seven Top three finishes on the day including four first place finishes. Trevor Rageland (106lbs), Devin Dorr (120lbs), Dustin Graham (195lbs) and David Medley (285lbs) all won their weight classes for the Rams on their home mats. While, Nic Bridges took second place at 160lbs and both Anthony Brigg (Immaculata) and George Blue took third in the weight classes of 182lbs and 132lbs. 

Both Jeff West and Riverside had a trio of first place finishers on the mats on Saturday, while the Tigers had nine Top three finishes overall and the Cyclones had seven. Leading the charge for Jeff West was Nich Reeb (160lbs), Chase Montgomery (170lbs) and Austin Michaelis (113lbs) who all notched first place finishes. The trio of Tyler Casto (145lbs), Kody Gibson (126lbs) and Luke Holloman (120lbs) all earned second place, while Caden Hansen (138lbs), Mason Heiden (152lbs) and Shane Kelley (106lbs) each finished third.

Riverside was led by first place performances from Kinstin Juhl (145lbs), Scott Resler (138lbs) and Derrick Karn (132lbs), while two Cyclones earned second place finishes and two more third place finishes. Both Jacob MacKnight (170lbs) and Alston Moulden (152lbs) finished second, while Donovan Duncan (195lbs) and Logan Hogan (126lbs) each earned third place finishes for Riverside. 

Oskaloosa had three Top three finishes on the mats on Saturday at the Pleasant Ridge Invitational as both Ben Harvey (182lbs) and Vincent Dick (285lbs) grabbed second place finishes and Hared Miller (160lbs) took third.
