Former Centralia Panther, Andrew Beck Set to Compete at NJCAA National Wrestling Tournament

While several area wrestlers are taking to the mats this weekend in Hays and Salina for the 3-2-1A and 4A high school State wrestling tournaments a former area High School State wrestler and former Centralia Panther, Andrew Beck will hit the mats at the NJCAA National Wrestling Tournament in Cedar Bluffs, Iowa. 

Beck who finished sixth last year at Nationals as a freshman at 141lbs and earned All-American status heads into the National tournament this year competing at 149lbs and carries a 21-8 record on the season after winning a District title with a 3-0 performance in Districts. Andrew helped his team finish third at the West Central District Regionals and seven of his teammates also qualified for the National tournament, giving Pratt a school record eight wrestlers at National. 

The sophomore, Beck will hit the mats on Friday, February 26th at Nationals with an opening round bout against a grappler from Minnesota West. 

Another top notch performance is what Beck looks for to finish off this year after taking sixth last year and several top State performances in high school at Centralia.
