Things got rolling early for the lady Wildcats of Hanover as it was 20-3 after just the first quarter against Rural Vista and all the lead did the rest of the game was continue to grow. Hanover outscored Rural Vista 24-5 in the second quarter to go into halftime up 44-8 and took the second quarter 22-10 to earn the win 66-18. The Wildcats connected on seven three's and finished 11-16 from the free throw line in the victory.

Ashton Jueneman paced the way with 19 points, while Macy Doebele scored 12 points and Shelby Bruna notched 11 points as Hanover improved to 17-6 on the season.

The win earns Hanover the Sub-State title and gives the lady Wildcats a berth to the 1A-DI State tournament for the first time since 2013.

While the Hanover boys are headed back to State to defend their 1A-DI State title from last year after beating Wakefield for the second time in the last couple of weeks. Just like the girls the boys took control of their game early as Hanover posted a 17-7 first quarter and then with a 26-17 second quarter went into halftime with a 43-24 advantage. That big halftime lead ultimately carried the Wildcats to the Sub-State title with the 61-44 win and a return trip to the 1A-DI State tournament.

Will Bruna led the way in a big way with 31 points, going 9-12 from the free throw line, while Trey Loshe chipped in 11 points and Michael Jueneman scored 11 points, helping Hanover move to 20-4 on the season and allow them the opportunity to defend their 1A-DI State title.

The Wildcats with the Sub-State championship wins head to Dodge City next week for the 1A-DI State tournament where the boys will play Wednesday, March 9th and the girls Thursday, March 10th for their opening round games.
