Tierra Williams

(KLZA)-- BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Junior Tierra Williams earned first-team All-America honors on the final day of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Birmingham Crossplex. 

Williams recorded a personal best on her first triple jump attempt, 43-4 1/2 (13.22m), and finished fifth to achieve first-team All-America honors for the first time in her career. The Auburn, Neb., product broke her previous personal best (43-2 1/2) on each of her first two jumps at the indoor championships. Williams' fifth-place finish is the best by a Husker female in any event at the NCAA Indoor Championships since 2011.
