Twin Valley League All-League Basketball Honors Awarded

It was another highly competitive year on the hardwood in the Twin Valley League with six teams between the boys and girls making State and five of them taking home a Top four finish or better. The All-League honors have been handed out in the Twin Valley League after another great basketball year. 

The Hanover Wildcats between the girls and boys teams had the most All-League players this year after both making 1A-Division I State tournament and the boys took fourth. Hanover boys won the TVL regular season crown, while the girls finished fourth. Junior, Will Bruna and senior, Trey Loshe each picked up first team All-League, while junior, Michael Jueneman got second team honors. The girls had junior, Ashton Jueneman get the first team All-League nod, while junior, Riley Doebele and freshman, Macy Doebele each picked up second team honors. 

Centralia, Washington County and Axtell each had five All-League players between the girls and boys teams. The Panthers enjoyed an exceptional season as both the girls and boys won a Class 1A-DI State title, while the girls also won the TVL regular season title too and the boys finished fifth in the League. The lady Panthers had sophomore, Katie Glatczak and junior, Cassidy Haufler both get first team All-League, while senior, Mayda Stallbaumer picked up second team honors. For the boys senior, Braden Deters leads the postseason honors with a first All-League nod and senior, Dustin Talley earned second team honors .

Both Washington County teams enjoyed strong seasons each finishing with winning records as the boys tied for second in the TVL and the girls took fifth. The senior duo of Konnor Penning and Kyle McGatlin each earned first team All-League honors, while fellow senior, Cole Thompson was named second team. On the girls side senior, Courtney Moore picked up first team honors and senior, Mandi Allerheiligen got the nod for second team All-League. 

Axtell lady Eagles had their best finish in school history taking second at State in Class 1A-Division II, picking up their first State win in school history, while taking second in the TVL, while the boys took seventh in the League. The senior duo of Courtney Heinen and Kierstan Talbot each got first team All-League honors, whlie senior, Megan Buessing was named to the second team. For the boys senior, Colton Buessing registered first team All-League honors, while senior, Brice Koch got second team honors. 

Valley Heights Mustangs had four All-League players this year two for the girls and two for the boys after third and sixth place League finishes, respectively this year. Senior, Brandi Jo Roepke and sophomore, Kayla Smith each earned first team All-League honors, while for the boys senior, Anthony Edwards got the nod for first team and junior, Logan Woodyard earned second team honors. 

Four TVL teams had a trio of players pick up All-League honors as Troy, Doniphan West, Frankfort and Wetmore all had three All-Leaguers. Troy had the boys tie for second in the League and the girls finished seventh. Junior, Cuttar Huss leads the All-League honors for the Trojans earning first team, while juniors, Reid Greaser and Blair Weishaar each picked up second team honors. 

Doniphan West boys like Troy tied for second in the TVL, while the Mustang girls took ninth. The senior tandem of Cooper Leach and Austin Taylor each registered first team All-League honors for Doniphan West, while senior, McKenzie Blevins got the nod for second team girls All-League honors. 

The Frankfort Wildcats finished sixth and ninth in the TVL regular season this year with the girls and boys tallying those finishes, respectively. Freshman, Emilee Ebert grabbed first team honors for the lady Wildcats, while senior, Kyla Hardwick notched second team honors. On the boys side junior, Brendan Levi picked up second team All-League honors. 

Wetmore Cardinal girls put together a strong finish to the season to place fourth in 1A-DII at State and placed ninth in the TVL, while the boys finished 12th in the League. The Cardinals had three All-League players this year lead by first team All-Leaguer junior, Dakota McQueen, while senior, Gerae Haverkamp picked up second team honors and in the boys All-League honors senior, Trey Craig picked up second team honors. 

Onaga, Clifton-Clyde and Blue Valley-Randolph all had one All-League player this year. For the Onaga Buffaloes sophomore, Tanner Marten earned second team All-League as the Onaga boys finished eighth in the League and the girls 13th. Clifton-Clyde had senior, Elizabeth Nobert picked up second team All-League honors as the lady Eagles took 12th in the League and the boys 10th. Senior, Hadyn Budenbender earned second team All-League honors for Blue Valley, as the Rams both the girls and boys finished 11th in the League. Linn Bulldogs did not have an All-League player this year as the girls finished 10th and the boys 13th this year in the League.
