Holton Golf Wins Sabetha Invite

At Monday's Sabetha Invitational, the Holton boys golf team won the six-man results by six total strokes over Maur Hill/Mount Academy.  The Wildcats were the only team of nine competing that placed three medalists in the top 10.  MH-MA was runner-up and had the best two-man score while also taking the top individual finish of the day as Pat Sullivan fired a round of 86. Christian Wessel of the Ravens carded a 91 to place ninth. 

Holton was led by Austin and Riley Shepley who both finished with rounds of 91.  In the tie-break, Austin finished sixth place and Riley was eighth while Haden May rounded out the top ten with a score of 93.  The Wildcats also got a 94 from Kaden Brandt, 97 by Brian Nelson and 99 from AJ Haussler to win the team title. 

Sabetha finished third in the team standings led by Jesse Burger who placed second overall with an 86.  Garrett Scott fired a 91 to place seventh.  Nemaha Central was fourth in the team standings led by a pair of top five medalists as Dylan Enneking was fourth place with a round of 88 and Michael Love was just one stroke back to place fifth with his 89. 

Marysville had Joe Ellenbecker take third place with a round of 87 while Tagen Lindstrom paced Silver Lake with a 102. Horton was led by Cameron Smith with a 105 and Tom Nolte shot the best round for Hiawatha with a 112.
