Mound City Girls Dominate Blue Jay Relays

(KLZA)-- Northwest Missouri State University hosted the Blue Jay Relays on Monday.  Rock Port was the host school.

A dozen girls teams and 14 boys teams competed in the events.

Mound City was crowned girls champion with 189 points, Rock Port was second with 101; Falls City was 6th with 49; East Atchison was 8th with 36; Nodaway-Holt 10th with 22 and South Holt was 11th with 20 points.

North Andrew was the boys champion with 129 points; Falls City was second with 114; Rock Port was 5th with 65, Mound City was 6th with 64; South Holt 7th with 40.5p East Atchison was 9th with 27 and Nodaway-Holt was 10th with 25 points.  

Individual event winners from area schools included: 

Boys

Shot Put & Discus -  1st – Ben Bauman – Falls City 

Triple Jump – 1st – Jessi Dean – Falls City 

Long Jump – 1st - Zane Heckenlively – Falls City 

Pole Vault – 1st - Gage McAdams – East Atchison 

1600 meters – 1st – Kyle Leafty – Falls City 

3200 meters – 1st – Ty Jones – Rock Port 


Girls 

Shot Put & Discus -  1st – Alexis Baucom – Rock Port 

High Jump & Pole Vault -  1st – Tess Phillips – Mound City 

Triple Jump – 1st – Kameron Freemyer – Mound City 

Long Jump – 100 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles -  1st - Emily Wedlock – Mound City 

200 meter dash – 1st – Adrienne Messer – Mound City 

1600 meters – 3200 meters & 800 meters - 1st - Kendey Eaton – Mound City 

400 meters – 1st – Victoria Nauman – Mound City 

Girls Relay Races - 4 x 800;  4 x 200;  4 x 100 & 4 x 400 – 1st – Mound City
