The Jefferson County North Chargers dominated the ACCHS track and field invite this week in Effingham with 12 area teams competing.  The JCN boys finished 29 points ahead of second place Holton while Riverside, Maur Hill/Mount Academy and Doniphan West placed in the top five.  The JCN girls were 47 points ahead of runner-up Maur Hill/Mount Academy with ACCHS third followed by Holton and D-West.  

JCN's Joel Abel broke a 35-year-old school record by leaping more than six feet, four inches in the high jump.  Brandon Lenherr from Holton won both the shot put and discus throws for the Wildcats. 

Kenzie Blevins of Doniphan West picked up another four individual gold medals by winning the long and triple jumps as well as the 100 and 200 meter dash.
