15 teams took part in a highly competive track meet at Republic County on Tuesday with the Axtell boys and Valley Heights girls taking the team titles in the smaller division. The Hanover boys were third, just ahead of Valley Heights while the Hanover girls finished second just ahead of Axtell.
In Division Two with larger schools, the Marysville girls edged Nemaha Central for the team title while the Washington County boys were third.
Individual champions from Valley Heights included: Kayla Smith (long jump, triple jump and 100), SHelby Vermetten (shot put and discus), Skyler Sanders (high jump), Adrian Pishny (3200) and Logan Woodyard (long jump).
Individual champions for Axtell included: Caleb Heiman (110 and 300 hurdles), Bradie Schmitz (200 and 400), Brice Koch (800) and Chelsea Smith (1600).
Individual champions from Hanover included: Claire Zarybnicky (800), William Peters (high jump), Deven Jueneman (triple jump) and Matthew White (400).
Nemaha Central got individual gold medals from: Kaley Dalilnghaus (discus, shot put and javelin), Alisson Rottinghaus (long jump and triple jump), Rachel Baumgartner (pole vault) and Jacob Koelzer (100 and 200).
Marysville got individual gold medals from: Chase Green (javelin), Nicole France (high jump) and Claire Cudney (100 hurdles).
