It was the first tournament action for several Twin Valley League volleyball teams on Saturday as they competed against each other at the Frankfort Invitational along with one non-area team. 

The lone non-area team of the six teams in action at the Frankfort Invitational was the team of Heritage Christian who claimed the tournament title by going 5-0 in the round robin tournament. Heritage Christian earned straight set wins in all five matches beating Frankfort, Doniphan West, Onaga, Washington County and Wetmore. 

Second place belonged to Washington County on Saturday at the Frankfort Invitational as the Tigers pounced on a 4-1 record on the day. Tigers earned straight set wins over Frankfort, Doniphan West and Wetmore, while Onaga pushed Washington County to three sets but Tigers still snagged the win. 

The host Frankfort posted a 3-2 day on their home court to place third notching straight set wins over Onaga and Doniphan West, while beating Wetmore in three sets coming back after losing set one in the match. 

Wetmore, Onaga and Doniphan West finished fourth, fifth and sixth on the day going 2-3, 1-4 and 0-5, respectively. The Cardinals earned a three set win over Doniphan West and also picked up a win versus Onaga, while Onaga's lone win on the day came against Doniphan West in straight sets.
