It was a action packed Saturday in Seneca as Nemaha Central hosted a several other area teams along with one other. At the end of the day it was the one non-area team to claim the Nemaha Central Invitational as Rock Creek won the tournament, while the host Thunder took second. Marysville and Sabetha finished fourth and third respectively. 

The day started with pool play action as teams looked to finish as one of the top two teams in their pool to make it to bracket play. In the Blue pool it was Rock Creek leading the charge going 4-0 but it didn't come easy as they needed three sets to beat ACCHS, Marysville and Hiawatha, while beating Riverside in straight sets. Marysville snagged second in the pool with a 3-1 performance beating ACCHS, Riverside and Hiawatha all in straight sets. ACCHS finished the day 2-2 with wins over Hiawatha and Riverside, while Hiawatha beat Riverside for a 1-3 day and the Cyclones went 0-4. 

In the White pool it was the host Nemaha Central going perfect 4-0 to win the pool picking up wins against Pleasant Ridge, Atchison and Horton all in straight sets and a win over Sabetha in three sets. Sabetha took second in the pool behind a 3-1 mark beating Atchison and Pleasant Ridge in straight sets and Horton in three sets. Atchison finished the day 2-2 with wins over Pleasant Ridge and Horton, while Horton beat Pleasant Ridge for a 1-3 day and the Rams finished 0-4 on the day. 

Into the Semifinals Nemaha Central, Sabetha, Marysville and Rock Creek went after finishing as the top two teams out of the pool. The Thunder took on Marysville in the Semifinals and won 25-20, 25-12, while Rock Creek beat Sabetha 25-16, 25-14. That set up the Championship matchup and Rock Creek finished the day unbeaten by beating the host Nemaha Central 25-13, 25-23, while Marysville won 25-9, 25-12 over Sabetha for third place.
