Missouri Valley College has historically been a tough opponent for Benedictine.  Saturday night was one more chapter in that saga as the Vikings came from behind to slip by the Ravens, now 2-1, 16-10 in Marshall, MO.

BC employed a number of offensive combinations including changing  quarterbacks but ended the night with only 273 total yards.  They combined for 16 of 34 passing, but suffered 3 interceptions.  Christian Haack, the Ravens All-America receiver had 5 receptions for 137 and Ejay Johnson was their leading rusher with 49 yards on 15 carries.

Still Benedictine had an opportunity late in the game.  Trailing by 6, Kenny Hershberger made an acrobatic interception giving his team the ball at midfield with just over 2 minutes to play.  But after driving to the Viking 32, the offense could get no farther and Mo Valley held on to win and are now 3-0.

Now 2-1, BC returns home to face Mid America Nazerine University next Saturday at 11:00 am.  The live broadcast will begin with the PreGame Show at 10:30 on KAIR 93.7.
