A trio of Twin Valley League volleyball teams traveled to Southern Cloud on Saturday and they all put together strong performances as Linn won the tournament, while Hanover finished second and Blue Valley-Randolph finishing with a solid performance. 

The action started with pool play and in Pool A it was both Linn and Hanover along with Bennington and host Southern Cloud. The Wildcats of Hanover pounced on a 3-0 pool play with straight set wins over Linn, Southern Cloud and Bennington. Linn finished second in the pool picking up a three set win over Bennington and straight set win over Southern Cloud. While Bennington won the other match against Southern Cloud. 

In Pool B, Blue Valley was joined by St. John's-Tipton, Rock Hills and Thunder Ridge. The Rams posted a 2-1 mark in pool play beating Rock Hills and Thunder Ridge each in straight sets, while falling to St. John's-Tipton in straight sets. St. John's-Tipton won the pool going 3-0, while Thunder Ridge beat Rock Hills in the other match. 

Bracket play saw Hanover take on Rock Hills in the first round and win in straight sets, while Linn finished Blue Valley's day with a three set win to move the Wildcats and Bulldogs into the semifinals. In the Semi's Hanover again won by straight sets 25-14, 25-17 over Thunder Ridge, while Linn topped St. John's-Tipton in a tough three set contest, 17-25, 25-20, 25-23. 

That set up an all TVL Championship match for the Southern Cloud Invitational title and Linn avenged their earlier loss in the day to Hanover by beating them in three sets, 24-26, 25-23, 25-20 to claim the tournament crown.
